Focus Photoeditor emphasizes digital photography but does just about everything other graphics packages can do, with a few twists of its own.

It has automatic features for quick photo fixes, but it's also easy to use it to draw, paint, and create custom graphics. It includes an advanced image browser and a Web album wizard, too.

Focus Photoeditor's menu bar features clearly labeled functions that are logically and intuitively grouped, which makes them easy to find and understand. There's the usual File, Edit, and Help menus, but most controls are labeled descriptively, such as Color, Noise/Sharpness, Exposure, and Tasks.

The layout is typical of full-featured photo editors, with tabs, layers, icon-based toolbars, and sliders. The similarity is more than skin deep, since Photoeditor is compatible with many Adobe Photoshop features, including its Filters Host Application.

One of Photoeditor's differences we like is the Layers function's separate tabs for image and text layers. We tried the selection, color, and drawing tools with both a mouse and a Wacom pen, both of which gave excellent control.

Focus Photoeditor is shareware that is free to try for 30 days, though the trial version puts a watermark on images. It's listed as working in Windows versions 95 to Vista, but we tested it in Windows 7 and it worked fine.

It's a highly capable and intuitive photo editor, and we recommend it.

Focus Photoeditor is a powerful picture and photo editor, image retouching tool, web album creator, image browser, painting program and much more.

The interface is typical to a photo editor software, with tabs, layers, icon-based toolbars, and sliders. Focus Photoeditor supports over 100 digital camera RAW formats. It has a full arsenal of tools for editing and correcting digital images, logically and intuitively grouped.

Just load your photo, and 'Process' it into a grayscale or negative image, or fill it with color, gradient or texture. You can even add a watermark to your photos.

On Auto tab it has a unique automatic feature for quick photo fixes (the 'Quick Fix Wizard') along with other automatically fixes like Auto contrast, Auto White Balance etc.

Besides the Automatic Corrections provided in the menu Auto, you can access the manual corrections from the menu Exposure. You can manually adjust dynamic range, curves, gamma, shadows etc.

As much as Exposure, Color correction is another important task when editing digital pictures. You may need to adjust saturation, color balance, temperature or to replace a color.

If your photo is a little bit blurred, you may edit it with Sharpness tool. Anyway, keep in mind that pictures heavily blurred cannot be improved by any photo editor. Or you can use "Clarify" that takes the best from the Unsharp Mask filter and from Contrast adjustment.

If you got problem with noise, you can use the Noise tool for correcting both Chroma noise and Luminance noise.

Focus Photoeditor contains a wide selection of Filters that can transform your photo into a masterpiece. Besides these important tools, Focus Photoeditor contains many more features, features that you will discover in time, and once you master all of them you might obtain the best pictures.

Un Editor di Immagini molto potente e semplice da usare

Ormai inizio a pensare che ci siano più programmi di grafica che gente che li usa :-)

Photoeditor Focus è un altro della lunga schiera di programmini fratellini più piccoli ma non meno interessanti di adobe photoshop,

Photoeditore focus è un fantastico programma per l’editing e il ritocco delle foto, che dispone di molte funzioni che vi aiuteranno a creare le vostre composizioni .

Con Focus Photoeditor potrete modificare le vostre immagini digitali, come desiderate. Impiega le sue funzioni principali per ruotare, tagliare e incollare e rimuovere gli occhi rossi. Potrete trasformare le vostre foto in quadri o inserire degli effetti di trasparenza e giocare con le luci e le ombre . Se preferite, il programma è in grado, automaticamente, di correggere un’immagine, opzione questa molto efficace paragonata a programmi simili.

Può creare collage, aggiungere del testo alle immagini, fare dei backup utilizzando il sistema a livelli, i pennelli (che possono essere personalizzati), modelli per disegni , e effetti speciali . Sarete sorpresi di vedere quante funzioni esistono su Focus Photoeditor.

A powerful photo editor with a professional set of features 

Focus Photoeditor is a powerful picture and photo editor which enables you to correct your digital photos and create your own graphics for the web, paint with the mouse, etc. You can acquire digital photos from files on your computer, with the help of a scanner or a digital camera and at once start to work with them.

The software supports all common picture file formats and you can select a format in which you would like to save your piece of work. The program offers a wide choice of useful professional tools and effects, some of which are unique and cannot be found in any other photo editing software, for example Quick Fix Wizard, Smart Color Replacement, etc. Focus Photoeditor is also an excellent painting program which offers a vast variety of different effects and filters as well as gradients patterns and many other standard and advanced features, for example magic wand, Lasso, Clone brush etc. In addition, the program enables you to create your own color palette.

As far as saving is concerned, the application offers repository feature, so you can add and save any files there. The program also offers extra features such as support for Photoshop compatible plugins and web album creator. With Focus Photoeditor, you can create your own web album and then publish it on the Internet. The only displeasing thing is that as soon as you open the program and select a photo, the Tools box appears and from this moment on it is impossible to get rid of it! The best what you can do is to minimize it. It accompanies all your work till the very end and that is rather annoying.

Nevertheless, this high-quality program is really very useful, so with such a professional image editing tool you can use your creativity to the full!

A Keeper

Focus Photoeditor, by Newest Software is another good product for working with digital photos and other images. I do seem to be on an image-editor kick today, huh? Well, I was working with some pictures and decided to download some products I hadn't tried before, rather than using my standard program. Turns out I found some good ones.
Focus Photoeditor makes it quick and easy to enhance and even correct digital photos. I found it to be easy-to-use with an intuitive interface. Perfect! For everyone.

Focus Photoeditor gives you effects so you can alter how your photos look, and lots of other options that put you in control of your final image. The program has support for over 70 RAW formats for digital cameras. You can do really precise editing with this product, and being graphically challenged I didn't get into that a lot, but it's very cool. You can even edit "layers, cropping a photo exactly where you want, and more.

Focus Photoeditor helps you "retouch" photos, remove red-eye, add effects, adjust contrast, brightnees, and so much more. This is truly a full-featured product that I'd imagine could be used by professional photographers. Don't quote me on that, but it seems to have features not found in other photo-editing products. So, here's another product you can try if you're really into your digital photography. Lots of options, easy-to-use, and very well done!

Getting pictures from a digital camera to a PC should be a snap, but too often it isn't.

Smart Photo Import is an easy-to-use tool that greatly simplifies the process of importing and sorting digital images from a camera or other device to a computer.

It automatically organizes image files into folders for easy archiving, neatly avoiding one of the biggest problems with digital photography: immense catch-all folders packed with thousands of images, and usually all jumbled up, too.

This neat little tool has a Windows-style installer and opens with a clean, basic interface that resembles a bare-bones media player. There are File, Edit, and Help menus; navigation boxes; a slider to control thumbnail size; some sorting and display options; and Import, Preview, and Options buttons, the latter giving access to the program's configurations.

 There's a handy space to enter photo subjects for easy sorting, an interesting feature that we especially like. Smart Photo Importer couldn't be easier to use: browse to the source folder, select a destination folder, and click Import.

The imported images start appearing immediately in the main display. A click rotates the image either way or calls up a dialog with detailed image information.

Smart Photo Import's is free to try for 60 days and works in Windows versions 95 to XP, though we tested it in Vista and Windows 7, and it performed well in both. It's a handy tool that can help you bring order to your digital photo chaos.
